I wanted 2 now how often do u texlex ur hair? and wen ur hair is months post relaxer is it difficult to fan dry ur hair and comb thru ur new growth? like is it dififucult combin  thru ur new growth getting it straight wen ur months post relxer.. I just luv ur hair btw u r a inspration.. an good luck wit ur weight loss as well..thanks  ******************************************************************************************************************************************* Hi GPeach thank you for stopping by my page and for the nice compliment!:) I texlax my hair every 3 and half to 4 months depending on how much new growth I get and how managable it is...As for fan drying my hair when I'm post relaxer as the months go by...When I'm fan drying and I have a lot of new growth I'm very gentle if I comb through it..Most of the time I just leave my new growth alone so that I don't risk any breakage..It's a lot easier to finger comb the new growth than it is to use a comb...I just gently pull apart my hair as it's drying with the fan..I hope you're having a great week and that things are going well for you! Hi Wifey!..I saw your profile pic in someone else's guest book and I
was pretty surprised!:).. I didn't know you'd decided to go natural...I
think you mentioned somewhere in your photo album that your ends were
thinning which is one of the reasons you decided to go natural..My hair
is doing the opposite..My hair seems to be getting thicker even after I
texlax...I have slacked off on my regimen..Like only DCing once a week
or sometimes only Dcing every two weeks...Although I do still co-wash
daily..Sometimes I even go to bed without moisturizing...Which
is crazy b/c I know our hair needs to be moisturized daily!.. So b/c of
my slacking off it's not gotten much longer but that's ok b/c I'm
satisfied with this length..I'm going to get back on track with my hair
regimen so that hopefully I'll have some updates this year!...I looked
through your album and you hair is gorgous already and being natural
will only enhance that!..I'm happy for you and I wish you all the best
on your natural hair journey!..I'll be coming through more often to see
your progress!:)

Jordan i am SOOO pleased with your progress and so glad that you have not had any setbacks.

Now if i am correct, you have not trimmed for nearly 3 years right?  It
is awesome that your ends are getting THICKER overtime--I very rarely
see that, what a blessing. No matter what i do (no brusing , no heat)
my ends gradually thin out over time. I figure if i stop relaxing they
will stay thick because I am not putting in chemicals that literally
break down my hair. It just dawned on me that even though the relaxer
was being applied to my newgrowth only it was still traveling down to
the ends when it was being rinsed out. That is the very reason why i
only shampoo my roots, because i know the suds will go down the entire
length of my hair.....i could kick myself for not applying that same
logic to the relaxer process.grrrrr---but it's all good I learned what
my hair can take and i am better for it. (also, I noticed my hairline
is gradually thinning, it was MUCH MUCH thicker in highschool).
