You can do it, and you will be so glad you did. I big chopped twice before this last time but I did not know about fotki or nappturality back then and once my hair got longer I would just relax again bc I did not know what to do with it. This time my hair was a decent length so I questioned myself for just a moment. I thought about how good I felt even when my hair was short and how people acted like it was some amazing noble act to ditch the relaxer. Knowing it should not be that way, that our hair is beautiful and that the only ones not accepting it was us. It was so clear that this form of mental slavery and self hatred had to end. I remember in highschool how a classmate who did not "keep up" their relaxer and had too much new growth would be picked on or laughed at. This is not the message I want to send to my children or to anyone else. Yes I am black, and YES I am proud.

Awww... well I still love your hair styles.

MTG stands for Mane Tail Groom. It's a sulfur based formula that was originally made for humans but they started using it on horses. It basically sulfur mixed with some other oils. The site where you can get more infor is www.shapleys.com you can email them and ask them more detailed questions and they will get back to you quickly depending on who you email. It smells like burn bacon. Most people start out with the trial size cause it does cause bad reactions in some people.
