I went through a long period in which my hair either did not grow well or was not retaining length. Stretching my hair got my over the hump. My stylist and I would stretch with heat. Either I got it flat ironed once a month or stretched out with a blow dryer only. I would also wear twist on blown out hair (never wet twist and stay away from mini twist). After the first month, I noticed that I had gotten a half inch and I haven't had too many more problems since. I believe that stretching does work for some people when it comes to growth or retaining length. I do not wash my hair every wee anymore because that is too much manipulation for it. I use a lot Indian or Ayurvedic products and products that are pH balanced (pH balanced scalp meas no dandruff, less itching, and more growth). I moisturize almost every day because my hair can get really dry, really fast. I really do think that I'm a year behind where my hair growth should be but you got to keep trying...God Bless and HHG!
i feel you on the frustration bc im going through pretty much the same thing!!..i had to put extentions back in bc of dryness and massive shrinkage!! my hair took on a life of its own and was cradling my scalp like a freaking helmet that was too tight!!!...aaahhhh!!!!..lol!! still trying to find the right products, for me the heavier and creamier the better!!..looking for more growth byseptember so my hair is my main focus for now!!AND..exercise!!..keep me updated with different techniques you discover or try..im gonna try the leaving conditioner in method letting it dry and then using my cocnut oil over it...we will see how this turns out in all this humidity!!
