HEY! I miss you! I hope you are super busy. So far I have fallen in love again with my hair. I did do braids because with the two kids I have no time in the morning for error, but the braids were a no no because they braided my hair all the way down into the knot (human hair) and of course it broke my hair off, one braid fell out in the front, but I walked away pretty safe, slightly thin edges that only I noticed. The hair grew alot, and my middle section is growing back really good I have a full afro now. At night I braid my hair or put it into 2 ponytails. Just sleeping with the afro covered with a satin scarf my hair always looked the same. Top crazy and the back is flat. Since I did not want to encourage the previous breakage i decided to do that. Hope all is well! TTYL!
Twin I am here, so dont fear! LOL, my suggestion is too invest in a good ceramic flat iron. I have the Sedu, FHI is good too. You have Maxiglide and the CHI (I think is very over rated) You need heat protectant. I use the CHI oil, but I also use Heat protectant by Mizani. (I will get the name later) As long as you don't abuse the heat on your hair, it will be no problem. The natural salon that I go to have many women pressing their hair, and some of these women have BSL length. But what they told me is once it is pressed, they leave it alone. Alot of women keep pressing it every day or other day and that is too much heat on any type of hair. I was very afraid at first, for now I will hold off because I dont have that much length, and it causes me to use the flat iron more than I need too. So I may wait until the summer time for a length check. But so far no issues. I will not pay someone 60 dollars to press it, when I can do it at home! I was bored as a permie too, so It really is me i just need to something to my hair all the time! I hope that info helps.
