Hi, Tony, Delightful and very interesting to a fellow amateur photog living in Courtenay. I'm a long way down the ladder from your expertise and industry. Many thanks for inspiration. however. March has been cold and grey with limited sea bird variety. There are a few fairly good photos on my blog. PhotoTonyG.blogspot.com. There is another Tony G here who is very good. He's a member of the Camera Club. I suspect you could know him and Mike,Y. your fellow 800mm lens user in Nanoose. Just got a first L lens..70 - 300 so images will improve with the quicker AF and better image quality. Noticed you on Fred M's web site. Thanks again. I enjoyed your sea of eagles. Hope to get good eagle flights when the fish are tossed from fish store on Dyke road. Tony Robinson
Just wanted to let you know you take some fabulous shots!! I stumbled on the FM site a while back and although I'm not registered, I check it most every day. Your work continually amazes me, and the Raindrops flicker is stunning. Maybe if I keep looking, some of the genius you display will rub off!! Keep up the good work!!
Hi Tony, I second Sabine, I'd love to buy a bunch of the other shots of the hummingbirds from the Fred Miranda forum in the 4x 6 format. Do you think you will ever have the rest for sale?
I just moved the England and there are no hummingbirds here. I would love to put up a bunch of the pictures to bring a little of home and color with me.
Tony, your hummingbird shots are the most amazing I have ever seen! Cute Overload posted the link to Fred Miranda's forum on which you have 38 photos posted. Unfortunately, not all of those are for sale on this website. Is there a chance you could make more of the shots available for sale? I would love to purchase some of them. You definitely have a gifted eye. Thank you for making them available to view/enjoy/buy! Sabine
Hello, A friend recently forwarded to me a number of your hummingbird images, which I marvel at. However, there are a couple of pics of them on a fountain and they appear to be dead - lying on their backs. Is this the case?
A friend just sent me your link and I am very impressed with your eagle shots. I live in Courtenay and like you I love to photograph eagles, nature and wildlife. Would you please tell me where you took the images of the eagles and what time of year.? If you do then maybe we could meet up there. Please visit my web site at www.DerekVallintine.com Thanks
Sorry Derek, but I do not reveal the exact locations to anyone. The images were taken at different times of the year, over a period of 5 years. All images were taken from blinds.
Hi Tony, just found your site!! wow. We are the house in the Estuary on Northwest Bay Road. We have Bed and Breakfast suites here. We are constantly recording the sites of wildlife we see all year long, as we are located right beside the Federal Wildlife Reserve, and can see from the Nanoose Naturalist website, which is so awesome, that some of our sitings are different from theirs. We will contact them as well, but you are so welcome to observe sitings and visit our propery any time to take photographs. The site from the Naturalists club is amazing. This is exactly what we were hoping to promote to our guests. We hopefully will be in connection with you and the other members. Kind regards, Marianne and Harold Robinson @ Inn The Estuary Bed and Breakfast/ Vacation Rentals. www.InnTheEstuary.com
