Hi Susan, like many of us I am not that often on Fotki as I used to be . But I am trying to be a bit more active here again.... Life is hectic sometimes... I hope you are well ...did not hear from you for a while now so I thought I'd better check! :) All the best, take care, Viviane
Hi Susan, I finally got the OK to remove the password from the album of pictures for the Southbury Library's submission for an architecture award. We did not win, but it was a good effort. We are quite proud of our new library building.
Thanks for stopping by recently. I appreciate your visits and comments. Thank heavens I am now out of the soup Snoopy so rudely featured me in. Still, I seem to have remained in the role of a maid and in that awfully cramped red dog-house! At least I've been spared the vegemite, which sadly isn't the case for those brave and kind people who've been visiting "the island" lately and who sadly succumbed to those yellow tubes the savage people down under insist on giving their guests. lol
Hope you had a nice summer. Ours was rather uneventful and remains hot. I haven't been keeping up with Fotki too much recently, now slowly getting back and catching up.
Hi Susan Thanks for your visit, nice to hear from you again. You like whisky? Glad you liked the pictures anyhow. Have been browsing in your Chicago album, some nice new pictures there. Slainte Myra
Hi Susan, how nice hearing from you again! Hope all is well and I also hope you are going to hang around for a while??? :) I have been not much on Fotki myself last week, some astma problems etc. but now I am back. I am a bit behind with visiting my friends and new members pages so I will come back soon and have a closer look at what you have been up to! Viviane
In the preliminary event leading to the Special Olympics Softball Connecticut State Tournament, the Wise Guys, Too won two for two today. In their first game, they beat the team with whom the tied in Danbury two weeks ago, the New London Wildcats, with a score of 3-2. In the second game, the Wise Guys, Too beat the Sarah Angel Sox 8-1. Our record for the season, so far, 4 wins, 1 tie, 0 lost.
The State Tournament will be September 7, 8, 9, at the Sports Complex in North Branford, CT.
Hey all you globetrotters, check this out and make one of your own. Mine's only a teeny one. Some fotkins like Gary will have massive ones - he's visited 22% of the planet!! If you don't mind, I'd like to make an album of snapshots of each of your travels as at August 2007. If you want to participate, follow the link here:
Hi Susan Thanks so much for your comment on my picture in the Window Shopping contest. I do appreciate it. Do you have any spare cupboards for my purchases?
Hi Susan, I don't have much time right now to look at your albums but will be back soon! To answer your question in the blog: read this! It works pretty well, if not get back at me and I will sort it out with you! :)
I'm writing to you because I found your name in Fred Martel's friends list. Fred is not well & unlikely to improve. He is on a waiting list for a continuous care facility, but they aren't sure how long it will be before a room becomes available for him. I'm not sure if he is still able or well enough to access his fotki site so wondered if you would be kind enough to send him a card?
His wife thinks he would be very pleased to receive cards from his Fotki friends. The present address to send them to is:
Fred Martel c/o Glenrose Hospital Unit 4D 10230 - 111 Avenue Edmonton, Alberta, Canada T5G 0B7
I was just browsing the web and ran across your profile. I too am originally from Bay Village (Bradley Rd). We moved in 1971. I just wanted to make a correction on one of your photos. The one of the Huntington Reserve water tower. It actually isn't a water tower. It was built by a rich oil baron who wanted something that looked like an oil derrick. It was suppose to compliment his mansion. Just some trivia. I really enjoyed looking at the pictures of Bay. Brings back lots of memories. Thanks... KB
