Dear Gisele, thank you so much for visiting my albums and for the kind comments! I'm really enjoying my natural journey:-D! How are you? Are you looking forward to Christmas? What are your plans for the holidays?
Your hair's looking gorgeous as usual, I can just see a couple years down the line, you're going to have that Sera 'hair idol' status, keep it up girl!
Thanks for your support honey, I really just need to get this lesson in my thick head, just say no to stylists that I don't know or trust! My ends are quite a noticeably thinner than the rest of my hair, especially in the front; I lifted a piece up and it looked like a transitioner's hair!! My ends are also breaking alot in this cold weather, I need to protect them, seriously. I'm going back to plaits or twists, and keeping it that way for a while.. I'll stay encouraged and inspired and keep focused. See you around, waiting for your updates...!
Gislele I'm so glad you came to visit...it has been along time! I appreciate your wonderful comments and the 3rd yr wishes. Recovery is going strong and I'm looking forward to a healthy 2010.
Your hair is looking exceedingly well...all of your natural concoctions seem to love your natural hair you definitley know the secret lol! Please keep me updated on your progess...
Thank you again for all the good information. You are such a resource. Ok, so I use just a tablespoon of the fenugreek powder and enough water to make a paste or cream? That doesnt really seem like a lot of powder. To that I could add maka, neem or brahmi or even the lentils? I have to get a grinder. Squeezing out into the trash is such a marvelous idea. My tub was soo clogged due to henna, cassia, and all those oils.
Gisele: You are welcome. Girl, 1 tbs fenugreek is a lot! Your solution will swell up into a vicous cream about 2 times its initial volume. If you wish, you can add more fenugreek and dilute the paste afterwards. When preparing your herbal pack, just add enough liquid to mix it into a paste a little thicker than the consistency of milk. It will do its thing if left alone for a few hours and will form a thick paste. Dilute it then if necessary if it appears so viscous it is gummy. You can add any ayurvedic ingredient you wish to your paste - lentils, aloe, yogurt, water, shikakai, amla, henna, oils etc, just make sure you rinse out out the fungreek properly, it can cause atopic dermatitis. The fenugreek will emulsify and bind everything together to keep them from being runny. Squeezing out as much as possible before attempting to wash it out will also save you the headache of trying to wash out all these messy ayurvedic herbs.
Thanks so much for your compliments, and detailed suggestions for my moms hair. I was so scared to do anymore henna because of how shockingly red it turned out before. I will look into all you have suggested.
xoxo
