So, coupla weeks ago, I'm riding up the ski lift with my skiing buddy from work, and I'm telling him about this dude from Edsel Ford HS that I'd ski with - he and his mom, actually. Got to wondering, whatever happened to Gary Navarre....is this the Gary I knew back in 1961-1963?

Mt. Holly. We went most Saturdays winter 62-63. Went to Thunder Mtn. one week-end. Stayed at that hotel in downtown Petoskey. I even missed the college SAT to go skiing one Saturday. You used to ski with your arm way out....then you would lift your leg up...kinda like Stein Erickson might do.... I have 8mm movies of you and your mom skiing at Holly.

Ya Lee, but I can't say I recall you. Which ski area was that? Haven't gone downhill since then. Fell in love with X-C in the '70's-'80's but started tipping over to much. I try to go at least once a year but the pottery has been my priority.

I don't know if you received my second response....or can see it, or if I responded in the wrong location, but we skied at Mt. Holly.

    Hi There Gary,
Just thought I'd check out your site, and it's pretty darn good !!!! Our snow down here finally melted today, so maybe it'll start to warm those little shrooms up enough to come out. Let me know how you do on them.
    See Ya In The Woods,

    Hi, Gary,

    Happy New Year!

I thought you might like to see the many great clay artists I have posted in my site. Most are Nebraskan and all are talented potters. Please share as you like.

    Thanks,
    Carolyn
