Hi Flurk

It's nice to see you're into Geocaching. My boss at work and her husband are into that too. It's very popular here in Canada. One one of her trips, my boss told me about this incredible spot here in Nova Scotia, Canada where there are amphibian tracks that date back 300 to 400 million years ago. There's also a phenomenon unique to this area in North America called the tidal bore. We took a mini vacation last week to see these spots and took a lot of pictures.

We've uploaded some albums of our weekend getaway last weekend to the Bay of Fundy area in the Annapolis Valley region of Nova Scotia. Presently there are 5 new albums (more to come). There is an incredible beach called Blue Beach that contains cliffs (capes) that range in height from 30 ft.(9.1m), to 100 ft. (30.5m), fossils that date back 300 to 400 million years ago, the path to and from the beach, and the tidal bore photos - a phenomenon unique to this area in the whole of North America.

We'll let you know when we've uploaded the photos of Halls Harbour - a romantic and picturesque harbour village where the tide rises up to 55 ft. (17m) at high tide and plunges to 2 ft. (0.609m) at low tide. Every day, twice a day, ships and boats sit idle at the bottom of the harbour's floor awaiting the next tide before they can go out to sea again. It's really something to see and it was featured in National Geographic magazine 3 times. Come see and please feel free to leave comments.

Rich and Barb.

Hi Joel?

The geocaching link is very helpful.

I've just purchased a Garmin Etrex Legend unit.

I've been playing around with the new mapping fdeature on fotki.

Cheers
