Hello Dmitry/Leila/Robert................I just had a look at your Copper Falls photos. I have to report that they are up to your usually great standards. I have been to Copper Falls many times. My cousin lives not far away in Mellen right in the middle of bear country. He even had to put bear-bars on his cabin windows to keep them outside and away from his refrigerator lol. Sorry it took me so long to respond. School has started and I have been very busy and my Fotki time has been limited. I'm neck deep in football/cross country/volleyball photos. In fact, I have to enter the Photoshop right now to get some football shots processed for the local paper....no time tomorrow. Good to hear from you.

Hello Dmitry/Leila/Robert................I just had a tour of your Millenium Park album. Once again, you have shown yourself to be a master of the D70. Well done. I have left some comments.

I look forward to seeing the shots with the NEW lens.

Hi Dmitry,

Loved the new vacation shots, we just got back from mexico ourselves, although we were in Rivera Maya and Cancun (some albums of pics in our whats new page). Loved some of the shots of the shoreline (did you use a natural density filter to soften t he look of the water??) I really enjoyed them!

Hello again Dmitry....great vacation shots; I've left a few comments. You must have been using a polarizer on all these shots....colors are beautifully saturated.

Hi Dmitry, thanks for the invitation! I hope you had a wonderful vacation...but at the look of the pictures I am sure you had! I am a bit in a hurry and had a quick look at some of them but I need to come back and give them the attention they deserve. I am looking forward to that and will be back as soon as I have a bit more time. You did well...great photos!!!

Hello again Dmitry....thanks for the nice comments on the fireworks photos. I really should try to shoot Milwaukee's fireworks...they are a lot more spectacular than this show I would guess. But I don't think I'd want to deal with the traffic. I'm getting too old for that kind of abuse.

You wanted to know about Exif. Here goes: D2x, Nikkor AF-S f/2.8 ED DX 17-55 mm (angles varied but tended toward wider side), tripod & remote release, ISO 100, Manual mode, f/11, focus to infinity, exposure set to "bulb." The only real variable was exposure time which varied from about 6 seconds to 20 seconds. I just listened for the boom of the mortar, held down the remote and counted seconds...estimated. Hope this helps. The best shots were around the 6-10 second range.

Dmitry...I just found your entry in the Family Fun contest. WONDERFUL shot...as always. I have been so busy with the garage thing that I haven't had any time to vote in any of the contests. I'll be glad when that headache is over. Congrats on your 2nd place. It took a good shot to beat you.

Hi Dmitry and Leila

WOW! That young lady is your wife?!? and she has a 15 yr. old son! What's her secret? She looks young enough to be a teenager. I should understand that because I always looked 10 to 20 yrs. younger than I am. I remember being carded (asked for ID) at a bar when I was 32. The legal age was 19 and they thought I was under age LOL. All of the friends I was with were in their 20s and none of them got carded. We had a good laugh over that one. I'm going to be 60 in July and nobody believes it. It's kind of fun :). Congratulations Leila, you're one in a million :).

Hi Dimitry,

Will never know the thoughts of my daughter (Dreamland photo from BW2 contest). It was a few years ago. I remember we were at a park having a picnic with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. It was one calm moment during those hectic type of get together. I am sure you know them well! Congrats on your #2 in the family contest. That was a specularly sharp and "dreamy" shot as well... Have your purchased a Rocket blower yet? :)
