Love your photos from Cade's Cove and the Natchez Trace. We like to take weekend motorcycle rides on the Trace but sadly have yet to get up toward your end of that beautiful road.
Hope you two have fun. Before I met K, I took a gf up in the Smokies and we camped for 3 nights in a tent. I just remember it was near the Ocoee and way up the mountain. I have never seen such black nights. It was fun though. I will look up the Lodge. We're due for a Smokies trip. My little one has never been. Katie and I got married in Gatlinburg and then went back the following year with the extended family and rented two cabins for Thanksgiving. I know it must be beautiful up there now. I'll be anxious to know how the Dizette takes to roughing it.
NO is a lot of fun but about every 7 or 8 years is enough for me to visit though this time was different. I found out more about the city through the tour than I ever knew as opposed to just going down to get into the debauchery on Bourbon Street. The older I get the less tolerance I have for intoxicated people. I like a few beers and a little buzz but I guess I'm old enough it hurts too bad to overindulge.
Thank you on your comment. I'm glad you like the boat photo. Actually, it was taken early morning by pure "luck". A dog was barking almost all night in my neighborhood, and I could not sleep at all. So, I've decided to take a walk to seaside and wait for the sunrise, and have a coffee nearby. It was really amazing view. It's a pity that most of such beautiful moments we spend in beds.
Hey Diz, thanks for looking over my pics and the nice comments. I was beginning to feel like a lurker never having anything new to post. We had a great time. I would recommend it, it had been about 9 years since we went to NO.
I just came by to see what was new, enjoyed looking at your photos. My work these day are mostly for photo illustrations for books, CD Covers, card art.
