ah, haha:) Now I know what you mean with "fingers" - yeah, you could actually call them that, as the plants "grip" with them:). Yes, it's cool how they open and close. And they really curl themselves around other things, hence the ability to "climb". Very fascinating.
By the way, you seem to have a lot of interest in aeroplanes, how come? Do you fly yourself?
hi! Number 13 photo showed the fingers (they have more spesific words for them) of Morning Glory. My favourite is number 5. "...methodolical", I mean that flower from side, down, front and then fingers. Also I saw them open and closed. The roots wa perhaps just over-enthusiastic from my side. As the plant may die, if they are revealed. The flowers are the crown of plant.
thank you for your kind comment on the Ipomoea picture:) it wasn't compulsory to collect plants in school, but I had a specialised course in Biology (Botany) where we learned about the relations between different plants and how to use identification books. For me, this has always been a lot of fun. Thanks for your suggestion with the root-pictures, it's a nice idea. I was thinking about taking some pics of the seeds, they are full of this hallucinogen called "Tlitliltzin" - what a weird name. I believe it's an Aztec word. They chewed the seeds as a drug, I read. What about the number 13, is that because of the superstition or are there other connections to it? What does methodolical mean? I like the kind of photo you describe with the light "coming out" of the centre a lot too, I think I even have some of them...
