Outstanding work, sir. You are an inspiration to all of us with pent up creativity. I keep looking around for someplace to put up a diarama. The wife may have to move some things...

Dave, Always a pleasure to drop in to Davetown! I see a new bank under development. I'm working on my own "Billsberg" and I'll be studying your road/parking lot techniques. I'm currently using a self adhesive roadway/parking area, but I think your version looks better and more natural.

hi Dave, you are actually my first friend on Fotki. Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to post all your work, your quite an inspiration to all of us.
hello there, just wanted to let you know that I have been browsing thru your albums. Love to see your work. I will be coming by and see what ideas you have so I can make things with my son.
Hi Dave, I have been looking at your Fotki site for over 2 years now. I am a little late in thanking you for letting us see your superb work. I have spent many hours looking at your work. No matter how many times come back, I can still find some new detail that I missed before. I really enjoy the humor you put into your models. I went "ape" over the 'Tugboat diorama'. I think it is fantastic.
Thanks! I'm a big fan of your work too. I love "Redneckville". I can see a ton of work there, not to mention the cost of all the stuff. I laugh every time I look at it. It reminds me of the people in a place I used to live.
Dave -just found your work. great attention to detail. God is in the details. I am a fellow structure/diorama maker. and am quite aware of the labor that goes into the work. I am happy that you have developed your own methods and tool solutions. So many of the instructors at CSS do it alike with little self development. I respect the originality and look forward to trying some of your solutions. Keep up the good work. from a fellow sign guy. Henry Quinn
P.S. I still think it looks like "The Twilight Zone" dino's in traffic?
Dave, kind thanks for such an incredible amount of detailed information, both written and pictorial. I have to say that I love the humour in the "Archaeological Dig". The work was amazing and the funny factor was 10/10. Cheers.
Hi Dave, How could I get a great picture of my model as same as your 1956 ford pickup (1/25 scale with wooden spare front bumper) that you posted in your Fotki page? Thanks. - Simplyglory
Thanks Dave. Also, should I use daylight bulb or just regular? I found the set up in your "My Room' folder. If I want a wash on a black painted body, should I use Orange thinned paint (is that right, wash should be applied with paint - darker than body color)?
I have 2 4' daylight bulbs over my bench and 4 100 watt lamps. You should be able to adjust your camera to work with what lighting that you have. For a wash on a black painted body I would use light colors.
Hi Dave, of all the weathered models (1/25 scale) I see so far, I found them overdone with rust or missing dents/rustholes. From this model, now I see what the others were missing - appropriate amount of rust and paint (body color) combination along with rust hole border detail. You are a genius! - from Simlyglory.
