Hello Geof - so good to hear from you - my holidays have been going really well - yesterday I celebrated Thanksgiving with my sons, and entire family. My mom got to have all six of her kids with her as well. Today I head off to my sons once again because today is their annual Turkey Bash - big party - starts later in the day and lasts all evening. Last year, they had 110 friends (no joke) show...this year they are expecting maybe only 90 - 100....not bad, eh? So I have a couple of my friends joining me as well...my son never minds...my friends are cool... So enjoy your weekend - I hope you haven't been affected by all the heavy rains in the UK we've been hearing about. Hugs from CT Susi
It's a very dynamic place isn't it? I'm trying to carry on with my photography but I haven't been too well recently so it's taken a bit of a back seat.
My furry family is indeed growing. He was deplummed a month ago so we've been trying to introduce them all, slow process at the moment. Bit of fighting going on.
Hi my friend - thanks for stopping by and checking out the Newport, Rhode Island album - yes, it was so fun and the cruise on the sailboat was "the best".... I loved it and would have done it again the next day but we were heading back home. This weekend I am heading to Vermont - driving up thru Massachussettes and into Vermont for the fall foliage and antique shoppes...staying just the weekend but am hoping to get some nice pics. Yesterday we had a wierd snowstorm here in CT and it covered the lawns - way too early for my liking.... Enjoy your weekend Hugs from CT Susi
Hi Geoff, Thanks a lot for you comment I'm glad you liked my photos. You are right that we do not appreciate what is by our own doorstep :-) it's funny. Borough Market is great place with lots of different food, it's usually very busy so best time to go is early in the morning. I really enjoyed my stay in London, but now I'm happy to be back in Czech :-) I'm trying to see this country(my town) as a turist little bit....and it's not bad. Have a nice week. Monika
Thanks for your message and for your praise of my October calendar photo and my red rose bud.
Thanks also for your invitation to see your Dungeness album additions. It's sort of 'old fotki' to have these invitations and I always thought it worked well.
I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the photos in your Dungeness album. The photos capture the feeling of its remoteness perfectly and even the weather played its part for you on both your visits!
The sun's gone today and the rain's here instead but at least it's still mild. Fingers crossed it stays mild.
Dear frend, Sure, that's fine to be frends here. Thank you very much for lovely message! I was embarrassed to take on camera too. If you like to make a photo with people - just start to do it. Sometimes I use 70-300 mm lens for it but not always. You will feel whether you could do it. With the best wishes, Ves
Hi Geoff, After having been away from fotki for a while I just stopped by to leave you a message now that I'm back, but oh my they're singing 'Land of hope and glory' at the Last Night of the Proms and I'm so overwhelmed I cannot talk.... excuse me while I reach for my hankie.....
Hi there Geoff: A friend Jerry who lives in Bristol, UK gets to watch NASCAR on a station over there...he's become a fan of the racing. I am only able to go to one or two of the races per year because they only come to New Hampshire that many times, the rest of the year they are all around the states and its way too expensive to buy airfare and tix to attend. I love the speed of these cars and to watch them live is so cool. What went on last week at the end of the race caused me disgust as you read a lot of my comments back and forth...dirty driving doesn't fly with me....no matter what your name is....hitting someone or spinning someone out on purpose makes me not have much respect no matter where they are in the lineup of points or how popular they are with the fans. I grew up with racing in my family, dirty driving is just that....dirty driving. Anyway, hope all is well Hugs Susi
Hi Geoff, how's things? What happened to the summer - do you think we've had it already?! I have been uploading some pics of a farm I visited recently which you might like to have a look at. I still have more to upload though... ah me, if only there were more hours in the day... Have a good weekend. ~Pebbles~

I've enjoyed your beautiful Switzerland album. It seems you had great hikes there.
Thanks for your kind comments on my Prague album.
Yes, people photos were a bit difficult, but this is how it usually is in Europe.
Take care,
Orly
