It's okay. It is a soft hold but it doesn't define my curls and well as Herbal Essence total twisted gel. I brought it because it doesn't contain alcohol. I use it on my puffs and it works nicely.
I'm in Boston too. But I don't have any problems with the water. I guess I've just gotten used to it. I've been in the international aisle at the supermarket looking for coconut milk before, but I didn't come across any coconut cream powder. I did however find Thai coconut cream, which didn't work very well for the coconut milk & lime treatment (the Goya brand coconut milk worked better).
Hi Beauty, thanks for coming through...in response to your question. I actually put shea butter (melted) in my hair when wet and twisted everything. So once it was twisted out, I would just add a lil of my water spritz bottle and re fluffed my hair. and I wore a satin bonnet at night. Hope this helps.
I do apologize for just now answering your question. The Denman style brush is AMAZING at detangling both natural and relaxed textures. I use it to detangle on wet and dry hair. It helps to make smoother ponytails/puffs and it makes your curls (or waves in my case) pop. Definitely try it, I promise you'll love it. Sally's sells the actual Denmans for like $8, but I got my Goody version from Rite-Aid for $5. Some Walgreens and hair stores carry them as well for even less.
