Hi there! I guess my favorite shots are candids...Anyone can mug for a camera, but real personalities and emotions are seen only in candids. I've been playing with cameras since I was 9...I had my mom's Brownie B & W from the 20's or 30's. And you? What do you photograph?
I also started when my brother taught me (age 8-9) darkroom & development procedures B&W also Color. That was in Chicago and Michigan,,,,,,,,,,,,
Since then I have had a camera grown onto my left hand (smile). When I lived in Toronto I had a studio with a friend of mine from London England. We took High fashion and commercial food shots., Now I travel a lot and shoot countries and cities (you can see that in Fotki). I just had my late brothers Fotki account merged with mine (for better management).
Most of my shots are not edited as of yet.... most all are raw and waiting...
I do agree that the casual and candid shots are the best. Before I shot the high fashion sessions I would sit and talk with the models for an hour or so just to get to know them better....,and hence took better and more casual photographs.
I plan on getting my attention off the country/city subjects and back into 1 on on1 candid in a few months..
SOoooooooooooooooo take a look and comment on what ever you see..... there is always room for improvement for me.... I am glad to receive your response....there is always room for improvement for me...
