It sure sound as if you had an interesting Halloween! Hope you had your camera with you to capture those kangaroo sausages? Australian halloween decorations made of wool? Now that sounds scarry too! :-)
So you are taking on the Tasmanian roads tomorrow! Should be another great experience.
Wonder whether you would see a real Tasmanian devil somewhere? Probably just in a zoo nowadays. If you do see one take a photo for Snappie! Snappie is green with envy! ;-)
Very surprising your visit and comments, and thank you ! It is very beautiful in Spain, except the weather, it is to hot for me;-)))) 38 or 43 C in the cities is really to hot, but the sea was nearby. This week we had again a short holiday, and came home today. That `s why a late reaction from me.
Hi Mary Have just had a wander around your garden, you are like my Bob, with green fingers. Your design is excellent, which is always so important, and you have a great variety. Obviously a great love of plants here. Thanks for visiting Bob's garden, and leaving such nice comments, I take the photographs but don't know the names of the plants like you do, so it was nice to have some named for me.
We have had a fairly good summer, although we had a lot of rain in August. However, it did not curtail our walking, and we seemed to always be lucky and miss the really wet days.
We are well into autumn now and it is getting quite chilly at night. I saw on TV that some areas of Colorada had had some snow...... sign of things to come, I guess.
Back from a quick visit to the south of Sweden. Didnt think I would make it to Sweden again this year. Just go to show, where there is a will, there is a way!
Not much autumn colour, but had a few lovely sunshine days, wearing short sleaves during the day.
Even had a day out kayaking. All went well. Was a bit nervous when the wind picked up speed in the afternoon and the waves got higher than the kayak. But with some serious paddling I reached land again. Could hardly move my arms for two days after that. Even holding the steering wheel hurt! Wouldnt have missed it!
Judging from your photos you are still enjoying summer. The gardens you are visiting are beautiful!
Sorry about that Mary; I just found some more photos pertaining to the Lairig Ghru Pass and wanted to add them....... it is all memories.......and of course it brings the album to the fore......glad you enjoyed them anyhow.......even if it was hard to even recognise us -) This was a twenty mile trek, and over the next few years we did 10 treks of this nature. (There are other climbs in my 'AND BEFORE THAT' section). Slainte Myra
Thank you for the comments on my albums...the critters are about 100 ft off our back porch on the back of our lot...and yes we put feed out every night for them...we are also having to spray our weeping cherry trees with deer repellent because they were stripping the leaves off...added new album today
Hi Mary Have just been having a wander in your garden, most impressive. I am not sure if your greatest talent is for gardening or for photography....... you seem to have such talent in both subjects....... Hope all is well with you, and that you have had a lovely summer. Our's was really good, sunny and warm in the early months of summer, but in August it has been changeable and more like normal. If the weather stopped us doing things in Scotland we would stay indoors all the time, so we just get on with it. Happy Days, Mary. Slainte Myra
Hi Mary! We are having a very hot summer too...only the last few days it colled down and started to rain....that is a good thing. Our newly planted garden suffered from the dry weather...although we tried and watered it constantly. It is not the same as rain though. Still suffering from my hands so I did not take many pictures, mostly used tripod but even then it is hard to handle the small buttons. But I am getting there...eventually. Did not visit a lot either, I only replied most of the comments and that's it...in the critis forum I tried and stay in touch but then time was up already. I try and pick up where I left things but the house needs a good clean too now (when your hands do not work it is troubles everywhere!) and that has my priority...I am a rather organised and tidy person, hate it when it is a mess! :) OK, I am off, will have a look at your garden...always great to see the changes! PS....wow, I am so impressed...that is not a garden...that is heaven!
