hi Alain,

Sansevieria kirkii v. pulchra comes from Zanzibar. A well cared for plant can have leavs up to 3 feet long and 4 inches wide.

Kew is well worth the visit,BUT, in the public area they seem to move things about quite a lot. When I took a lot of these photos many Sansevierias were on view to the public, one year later and they had all but a few disapeared to the private greenhouses where the public are not allowed. So dont be too disapointed for the lack of Sansevierias there are many other species of succulent plants on view all the time many huge great things, a few of which are pushing at the roof of the structure. Let me know when you come perhaps we can meet up and spend an hour or two sharing our views on the plants.

My visit to your album was quite an experience. You have some great plants.
I like the caudex succulents and collect these myself.

S. parva at a guess I would say about 6 or 7 years old. This is quite a fast growing species.

dit zijn zeer mooie foto's van zeker een boeiende verzameling buitengewoon verzorgde planten.
Een bezoek aan deze zijde is zeker altijd welkom, en zeker als het weer wat mee zit zodat we in mijn cactus tuin een pintje kunnen pakken.
